IMPROVING THE CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE WITH CLASS–SIZE REDUCTION ($525,343)  29%
This year, the Foundation has been able to expand the class–size reduction program to include 32 additional sections of core subjects-English, Social Studies, Math, Science and Foreign Language, as well as popular electives like Journalism and Choral, allowing smaller sections for over 150 classes.

PRESERVING & EXPANDING M–A’S BROAD CURRICULUM ($671, 315) 36%
This year 7 elective courses will be funded by the Foundation, including M-A’s new Orchestra, AP Latin, AP French, Yearbook, and Drama. In addition, the Foundation provides funds for other classes to ensure that resources are in place to improve the educational experience for students.

INVESTING IN EXCELLENT TEACHERS ($121,500) 7%
The Foundation provides funds to enable teachers to collaborate with department colleagues to strengthen curriculum, and to participate in teacher-training and continuing education programs. The Foundation is pleased to welcome new teachers to M-A with a check to help defray classroom set-up costs and to recognize excellence in teaching thru the presentation of teacher awards.
