Improving the Classroom Experience with Class–Size Reduction ($460,000)
This year, the Foundation has been able to expand the class–size reduction program to include 23 additional sections of English, Social Studies, Math, Science and Foreign Language, allowing smaller sections for hundreds of students. We plan to expand this program next year and beyond with the generous help of our donors.

Preserving & Expanding M–A’s Strong Curriculum ($265,000)
The Foundation funds classes based on M–A’s administrative input that are in danger of being cancelled by the district, including advanced foreign language and electives such as yearbook, journalism, and chorus. In addition, the Foundation provides funds for other courses to ensure a wide array of electives are available for M-A students.

The Foundation provides funds to enable teachers to collaborate with department colleagues to strengthen curriculum, and to participate in teacher-training and continuing education programs. The Foundation is pleased to recognize excellence in the classroom thru the presentation of teacher awards.
